The River Wye has over 100 miles of year round navigation between Hay-on-Wye and Chepstow.

The river Wye and the Wye valley was the birthplace of the British tourist industry. Since the 1600's the Wye valley has been used as a destination for the British staycation holiday maker and to this day brings a great dal of enjoyment to all that visit year round. One of the many activities that are available to visitors is the humble canoe which can deliver you to many an adventure and campfire along the way, the boat (now canoe) has been the main mode of transport since the 1600's and beyond. I run one of the busiest Canoe Adventure companies on the River Wye "want to canoe?" (www.canoehire.co.uk) and I will be sharing my adventure on here from time to time.

Winter is a great time to go for a Canoe Camp as you never have an excuse not to light the fire and keep yourself busy!
