About me..

claireandetheldog.com
I’m at my happiest out and about, finding inspiration at home in Cornwall and on my travels further afield. My style is most often candid, capturing snapshots of the moment to produce intimate images of landscapes, people and places. My photographic work and written features have appeared in magazines, on social media and a selection of my images are available as prints.

walkswithethel began with the arrival of Ethel dog to our home back in 2014. Ethel quickly established herself as part of the family, made lots of new friends and so began her adventures. A photo scrapbook of our ramblings around coast and countryside can be found on twitter at @walkswithethel

Other stuff
I have over 13 years’ experience working in the digital media industry as a project manager, director and creative / social media manager. I also have experience in event management, successfully delivering international conferences for the arts/education sector. I currently work for Denham Productions, one of the UK’s most well-known factual and food production companies, delivering quality TV 'programmes for some of the UK’s top channels along with ad-funded programming, branded video content and commercials for digital clients.

In 1995, the New York State Office of Mental Health closed the Willard Psychiatric Center in Willard, NY. A Willard employee, Bev Courtwright, was given the task of going through all of the psych centre buildings to determine what should be salvaged. She unlocked an attic door behind which was a collection of over 400 suitcases containing the possessions of former patients. What would you pack in a suitcase?
