"The shape is no longer endlessly growth, it's balance"

Kate Raworth's book 'Doughnut Economics' has become very influential since its publication in 2017 and at the October Extinction Rebellion action, she outlines why it's essential that we change our economic model, which breaking down the systems of our living home. In this brilliant speech, she explains the doughnut model and how it meets the needs of all people and here she explains why we need to make that transition urgently away from 'business as usual'.  

"Ours was the first nation into the industrial revolution. We have a moral imperative to lead again and to be the first nation out."
