Full Moon Midwinter Sweat Lodge
Midwinter Full Moon Sweat Lodge – Heart Warming Medicine for 2020
We will be holding a Winter Warmer Sweat Lodge on Friday Jan 10th at Field 725 near Frome, all welcome though numbers limited to 23 or so. We built the Lodge during Campfire Convention, some of you may have been there. The woodland setting is very tranquil, perfect for this moment of stillness before the year begins to emerge at Imbolc. The Lodge is a deep communal alchemical journey thru which we can share our joy, grief, hopes and dreams in speech, song, or silence in the womb of our mother.
We will journey through the directions of the Medicine Wheel; different aspects of our psyche, our blend of elements. Releasing the old, opening to the new. Letting go of previous narratives as we sit, in circle together with our ancestors, in mutual support through this process of purification and renewal. The deep heat of the Lodge enables our heart’s truth to emerge, we witness our own and other’s prayers and aspirations.
Amanda Rothwell and Geoff Greentree offer this Full Moon Lodge to share their experience and love of holding this beautiful ceremony of renewal for women and men alike.
In fraught moments as these, as we wake up to our collective responsibilities, this is a wonderful opportunity to cleanse, invigorate and celebrate precious times together. To renew our connection to the spark of life in every moment. We offer our songs in joy, in love and in sorrow, deepening our sense of self and how we connect to all life. Opening our hearts in a safe, nurturing environment.
Amanda and Geoff are combining our calling to hold Lodges to support Campfire, so all proceeds will go towards that. We have both been running Lodges or many years and are bringing our studies and experience together again here at Field 725. Our different paths and traditions complement this ancient community technology. Overheads for the Lodge are high so we’d like a donation of £30-£40 (no upper limit!). Tho all welcome, let us know if that’s an issue for you.
We have a warm Yurt for the night for changing and singing afterwards.
Please bring: Your best intentions
Blanket or warm clothing for afterwards

Some food to share afterwards – soup and teas will be provided
