Campfire Convention has just formed a new Beacon in Frome and invites anyone who cares about how we can change the world for the better to work with us to make those changes real.

Campfire is a new member-led community that is working for the common good, free of advertising and algorithms, an online social network which also puts on events. Its Global Beacons initiative is launching around solstices and equinoxes, with the plan to bring local groups together across the UK and beyond. Each Beacon will make at least one ‘call to action’ for social change, starting at summer solstice this year.

Campfire is about real-life events, conversations, listening, debating, co-creating, collaborating, a growing community that is not just thinking about constructive ways to change the way we do social networking.

Frome is already a hotbed of creativity and fresh thinking and the first Campfire event was hosted by Peter and Annabelle Macfadyen last May at Rye Bakery.  Founder and Firestarter Pete Lawrence has recently moved to Frome and invites all to join him for an exploratory meeting to look at what skills and passions we can each bring to the table and what we might be able to achieve together.

Wednesday March 21st, 7.30-11pm.  Donations on the night and reservation £1. Please reserve ticket here by signing up to the Campfire Community. We will be co-ordinating this Beacon via the Campfire site.
