"For me, it has made me realise that I'm no longer waiting for any guidance or leadership from our government. That's empowering"

Tree Conference founder and Tree Sister Suzi Martineau talks to Campfire Firestarter @Pete Lawrence  about the death of opposition party politics and need to heal our culture, starting with our relation to the land.

"We need a little less focus on Brexit and a little bit more focus on what it is this landscape needs to do to bring back balance and heal what it is that's going in other countries and our absolute complicity in what's going on in those countries and our responsibility and the joy and the education that can come from it and I feel that if we get that clear, it's a little bit more helpful on why we choose particular trade deals and helping us to make better decisions about the kind of ethics behind our business structure and behind international policy."

"Our leaders are in a difficult position and they're acting out a crazy scenario. I can't imagine that you'd be in a position of leadership without working out what we need to do to heal out cultural dynamic."

"For me, it has made me realise that I'm no longer waiting for any guidance or leadership from our government. That's empowering"

"Citizen-led work is the answer...In terms of Citizens Assemblies I wish it could  'council of all beings' that is not too city-based, not too intellectually based but I want to ensure a space for the consciousness of animals, and insects and microbes and the waters, the land, the mountains and clouds at the table."
