"Why I Will Not Cast My Electoral Vote For Donald Trump"

In a similar debate to the one we have had at home many times in the last few months, should elected officials back the voices of voters in their constituencies irrelevant of personal perspective? Is this Electoral College representative of a state that voted for the President Elect, and of the same party, justified in his views that he puts across about why he shouldn't be voting for his party's nominee, and the now democratically elected President Elect? Is this something he should be doing in a post he has volunteered for knowing the role he would have to play further down the line in this election?  Will we see and experience something similar during the spring pending a supreme court ruling giving our own MP's a say on the government's exit plan for leaving the EU?
