003.UK : The working title is Activism Shoecamp and it involves around a dozen Learnshops on 'how to be a fully qualified active citizen in the 21st century

Thanks to all who attended a very lively and successful Campfire Convention 002.UK last weekend. It has certainly sparked some lively discussion!

For those who couldn't make it, we should have footage of all the Thinkshops online by the end of the month, thanks to @Luke Flegg. I have also added a gallery. You can read the text of @Sally Hughes's keynote address and my own introductory speech as well as view @Tobias Hug leading the Campfire 'choir' and Liv Torc's poetry.

One immediate organisational action point from the weekend is to launch Circle teams which we are doing via the Padlet organiser for now. If you'd like to join a team please drop me a line

If you haven't already, please feed back to us using this post thread and you will find everything relating the event just passed in this Project

Our thoughts have immediately turned to the next event, planned for the weekend of March 10/11 next year. @Ruth Wallsgrove has been doing the running in conceptualising a weekend of learning and sharing. The working title is Campfire Convention 003.UK : Activism Shoecamp and it involves around a dozen Learnshops on 'how to be a fully qualified active citizen in the 21st century'

We've found what we think is a good and rather quirkly venue for hosting this and we need your commitment and feedback if we are to push ahead and confirm in the next few days.

We've set up a Private Project which Ruth may have invited you to, in which you will be able to view and have input into the concept for the event, look at details and location of the hotel and see a gallery. If you'd like to join it drop me a line or message @Ruth Wallsgrove

Don't forget to check out our first Firecast if you haven't already.

Have a great weekend!
